Seasoning Caddis Pupa

  Tier:  Ole Hansen

Hook:  TMC 2457 or 2487 Size 10-18.
Thread:  UNI 8/0 ( orange).
Tail:  Antron yarn ( very small tuft).
Underbody:  Orange tying thread + brown antron yarn.
Overbody:  Larva lace ( clear).
Thorax:  Dubbed red fox squirrel belly fur.
Antennae:  Two pheasant tail fibers ( pointing rearwards).

Instructions:  Tie in a strand of antron as tail.  At this point also tie in 4" long piece of clear Larva Lace.  Cover the rear 2/3 of the shank with several layers of orange tying thread as an underbody and fold the antron strand over and on top of the underbody.  Cover the entire body with the Larva Lace.  At the thorax area tie in two pheasant tail fibers pointing backwards as antennae and make the thorax itself with pickled out dubbing.  Whip finish and lacquer the head.
