Notes: I enjoy tying Catskill dries, especially the quill-bodied patterns. Now that I'm living back East, I actually get a lot of chances to use them. This is a Cahill Quill, the dressing from Ray Bergman's Trout. You don't see this pattern very much anymore, but it's a good searching pattern and does a fine job of matching brownish mayflies. |
