Notes: A caddis-fly pattern developed for the upper Yellowstone River, in Yellowstone National Park, in August 1993. It was tied to imitate the emerging caddis pupa, that often hatch in great numbers along the river in the evenings, during late-July and August. Dressed with floatant, it is fished dead-drift in the surface film. It has also been used successfully as a sunken pattern, however it is most effective when fished on the surface as a dry fly. |
Natural gray muskrat fur.
