Instructions
This pattern is relatively easy to tie, though it requires some preparation prior to the actual tying.
To make the tail and abdomen section, take a 1/2" long piece of Larva Lace and insert a doubled 6" long piece of 6X
monofilament into it, pull it almost through, insert 4-8 marabou fibers in the loop of the monofilament and pull it through.
Make a set of eyes by pulling two clear beads on a 2" long piece of 4X monofilament and burning
it at both ends until the two eyes almost touch each other.

The
actual tying process starts with tying in the eyes just behind the hook
eye.
Tie in the tail and abdomen section about halfway down the shank.  At
this point also tie in a 2" long and 1/4" wide piece of Thin Skin as
well as a single ostrich
herl.  Cover the front half of the shank with the ostrich herl (palmered) and fold the Thin Skin over and on top of it as a back.
Tie it down just behind the eyes.  Whip finish and laquer the head.
