Tying Instructions

Why tie another imitation of the nypmhal version of a Hexagenia Limbata? Why not? This is a shot at making a good, close imitation of the Hex. Note: I generally use a blend of Hare's Ear and Antron dubb for the body, although in this fly I used Ronn's iridescent dubbing in tan. Emu can be hard to find, but it is the best material for this fly. Ostrich can be substituted of necessary. A bleached turkey quill can be used in place of the pheasant. |
