Note:  This is the parachute version of the popular Adams, which was created  by Leonard Halladay in the early 1920's and named after Charles Adams, an angler who gave the fly a reputation.  

 

This is an imitation of several mayfly hatches.  I doubt you will find many anglers without one in their fly box.
