West Virginia Angler : trout fishing should be good this summer in wv its rained every weekend. Stocking hasnt stopped but the fishing has for now.
I have never tried one myself but try this link and I think you'll get some good information.
They are pricey for sure. You will have to learn all new techniques for tying in order to use the high speed rotary function. If you tie a lot of clouser type flies it will be very helpfull but I'm not sure if it will help alot for tying your normal trout flies (drys, nymphs, emergers etc.). But, like I said, I've never used one so my opinion doesn't mean much. I have watched quite a few videos of Norm tying various flies and it is very impressive but I don't presently use any of the techniques he employs with his vice nor would anyone else unless you owned a Nor-vice. That's why I say you will have to learn a whole new set tying techniques in order to use it properly. I am still a new tyer myself and I have just learned the techniques that I now use. I don't want to start all over learning new ones. I might be making too much ado over this issue but there's my 2 cents worth. There are some things you can do that you would have a hard time doing (if you could do them at all) on any other vice. Nuf said Good luck!
