I'm 31 years old and from Argentina. A big part of my
free time is spent living in contact with nature and creating hand crafts.
Those activities of interest is what recently led me into the world of fly tying
and fly fishing.
I especially found Torill Kolbu's fly patterns very
interesting so began tying using her style, with diverse kinds of wool, thread
and chenille.
I'm very lucky to be living in Argentina, with such diverse
habitats and landscapes as Patagonia.
My dream is to fish Rio Grande, Tierra del Fuego during the
next season and to fish the Dorado (the tiger of the rivers as it is known in
Argentina), at the Iberá Marsh.

These pictures were
taken in Lago del Sol, Benavídez (Km 7,5) Buenos Aires. There you
can trout and ´´pejerrey´´ during all the year.
This
introduction was written in May 2004.
Note by Ed
Gallop: Although Eleonora said she is new to fly tying, you wouldn't know
it by examining her flies. They appear to be tied as well as any I've
seen. It was a pleasure photographing them.
Eleonora's fly
submission, Argentinean Turquoise Wet
Fly, won first place in the Free Fly category of a 2004 fly tying
competition organized by The Argentinean Association of Fly Fishing.
Pictured below is the same except there was no tail on the winning fly. |
